Sean Ewart joined Luthin Associates in July 2020. As Regulatory Director, Sean works with our clients, prospects, and members of Consumer Power Advocates (CPA) on utility rate cases and regional reliability issues.
Sean’s energy policy experience, most recently working as Director of Energy Policy for the Chair of the New York State Assembly Energy Committee, makes him a powerhouse addition to the team. Sean worked for the state Assembly for 5 years, cultivating relationships with lobbyists, stakeholders, and other government agencies. In his previous roles, Sean gained in-depth knowledge of the latest issues impacting New York State through various committee meetings, as well as Senate and Assembly sessions. Given his experience, Sean is an incredible asset to our clients and our team for overcoming regulatory hurdles. His presence in the regulatory arena equips him to better support clients in complying with legislative requirements such as Local Law 97, part of the larger Climate Mobilization Act, which places emission limits on New York City’s large buildings.
Sean received his bachelor’s degree in Political Science at the University at Albany.
