Let there be light internationalLet There Be Light International (LTBLI) is a non-profit organization based in Buffalo, New York, whose mission is to bring solar power to people and communities without access to an electricity grid.

In Africa alone, there are 600 million people living without safe lighting in their homes, schools and health care clinics. Using solar power, LTBLI has electrified 41 frontline, off-grid health clinics and donated over 15,000 solar lights to vulnerable families and communities in sub-Saharan Africa. In 2019, LTBLI launched an innovative maternal and infant health program called Safe Births + Healthy Homes which electrifies rural maternity clinics and then donates solar lights to all new mothers for use at home.
